14 Artists from South Africa and Denmark Selected for 2025 AmaGroove Residency
The wait is finally over as One Groove, in partnership with the Riky Rick Foundation, AUTOR, Nirox Foundation, Koda Kultur, and the Danish Foreign and Cultural Ministries, proudly announces the 14 selected artists (7 from South Africa and 7 from Denmark) for the 2025 AmaGroove Residency in South Africa.
An Immersive Creative Experience
Scheduled from April 26th to May 3rd, 2025 at the Kromdraai Impact and Co-Creativity Hub in the Cradle of Humankind, this seven-day residency offers an intensive creative space for artistic exchange. Participants will engage in:
- Collaborative songwriting sessions
- Panel discussions and mentoring
- Industry networking opportunities
More Than Just a Music Program
The AmaGroove Residency has established itself as a creative movement fostering cross-cultural collaboration. The 2024 edition resulted in 20 original songs, demonstrating the power of artistic exchange across continents.
Success Stories from Previous Editions
One notable creation from last year’s residency is the soulful track “SAID I DO” by Chipego, produced in collaboration with Danish artist Mark Fosnæs. Listen on YouTube.
