CNDD-FDD Gains Ground in Busiga as 10 New Members Join Ahead of 2025 Elections

CNDD-FDD Strengthens Its Hold in Busiga Zone Ahead of Burundi’s 2025 Elections

Ten New Members Join, Including Former CNL and UPRONA Supporters

Butanyerera (Commune Ngozi), May 15, 2025 – As Burundi prepares for the June 2025 elections, the ruling CNDD-FDD party is intensifying its campaign efforts in Ngozi commune. During a recent tour through the hills of Bitambwe, Kigufi, Caga, Rugori, Muyogoro, and Mutumba in Busiga zone, the party celebrated the addition of ten new members in Muyogoro hill. Among them, six previously supported the CNL party while two came from UPRONA, marking another strategic gain for CNDD-FDD.

Party Leaders Rally Supporters

Nkurunziza Samson, CNDD-FDD’s communal secretary, along with Busiga’s zonal secretary, urged supporters to back socio-economic initiatives and maintain peace and security. The energized crowd chanted “CNDD-FDD, iyongere intsinzi!” (CNDD-FDD, amplify the victory!) as part of the “Tsinda 2025” campaign.

This development further solidifies CNDD-FDD’s position as Burundi’s dominant political force just weeks before the crucial elections. For more details about the 2025 electoral campaign, visit CAMPAGNE ÉLECTORALE 2025 AU BURUNDI.
