Egypt and Saudi Arabia Strengthen Ties with High-Level Visit and New Council
Solid Relations Reinforced Through Diplomatic Engagement
Egyptian Cabinet Spokesperson Mohamed al-Homsany confirmed that the recent visit of the Speaker of the Saudi Shura Council to Egypt and his meeting with Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly are part of ongoing reciprocal diplomatic engagements between the two nations.
Strong Bilateral Relations Highlighted
During an interview with TV host Sherif Amer on the program “Yahdoth Fi Masr” (Happening in Egypt), broadcast on MBC Masr, Homsany emphasized the robust and enduring nature of Egypt-Saudi relations. He noted continuous communication at multiple levels, reinforcing the strong ties between the two countries.
Prime Minister Madbouly also stressed the close relationship between Egypt and Saudi Arabia, both officially and among their populations, during the meeting held on Tuesday.
Establishment of Joint Coordination Council
Homsany revealed that an agreement was reached to form the Egyptian-Saudi Supreme Coordination Council, a significant step toward enhancing bilateral cooperation. He clarified that the visit was not a reaction to any rumors but rather a strategic move to deepen collaboration.
“This visit is part of a series of ongoing engagements that reflect the depth of our bilateral relations,” Homsany stated.
