Historic Achievement for Ghanaian Higher Education

KAAF University at Gomoa Fetteh has reached a significant milestone, receiving a presidential charter that grants it full autonomy to award certificates, diplomas, and degrees for all its accredited programs under the Ghana Tertiary Education Commission (GTEC).

The institution was among 14 private universities nationwide that officially received their charters on December 19, 2024, after demonstrating excellence across all required standards for autonomous tertiary education.

Commitment to STEAM Education Excellence

During a media briefing to unveil the university’s new logo, Registrar Mr. Frimpong Okyere emphasized how this elevation aligns with KAAF’s vision:

“This unprecedented feat was earned after a very rigorous multi-stage review process that assessed several key performance indicators including governance, infrastructure, curriculum development, and societal engagement.”

The university plans to leverage its new status to:

  • Enhance global competitiveness for students
  • Expand STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics) programs
