“You can see I am vibing to the song already. It’s a beautiful piece of work, very wonderful. I appreciate the fact that you said you picked the inspiration from this song I recorded many years ago; I appreciate you for that,” the music icon remarked.

Davido responded with deep respect, writing in Igbo: “Ihe di ka gi akokwala m. Chief Sir Bright Chimezie, Ezigbote Onye Egwu,” which translates to “People like you inspire me. Chief Sir Bright Chimezie, a true music legend.”
The track appears on Davido’s fifth studio album and was produced by award-winning producer Tempoe. It blends contemporary Afrobeats with classic Highlife and Funk influences – genres that Chimezie helped popularize during Nigeria’s golden era of music.
