Davido Declares Himself Unrivaled in Afrobeats Performance

The Afrobeats King’s Bold Claim
Nigerian music sensation Davido (David Adeleke) has made a powerful statement about his dominance in the Afrobeats genre. During a recent interview on Apple Music’s The Ebro Show, the award-winning artist confidently proclaimed his unrivaled position in Afrobeats performance.
Respect for Others, Confidence in Himself
While acknowledging the talents of American artists like Gunna, Young Thug, and Chris Brown in their respective genres, Davido maintained his supremacy in Afrobeats. “I can’t sing trap better than Gunna or Young Thug, or sing R&B better than Chris Brown,” Davido admitted. “But nobody can sing Afrobeats like me.“
Staying True to His Roots
The OBO crooner emphasized that his musical identity remains firmly rooted in Afrobeats, a sound he brings to all his collaborations – even with international artists. “One of the good things American artists like about working with me is that we either meet in the middle or you just do it my way – Afrobeats,” he explained.
Future Collaborations with Chris Brown
Davido also revealed exciting news about his ongoing partnership with Chris Brown, disclosing they’ve recorded over 20 songs together. Hinting at potential joint projects, the Nigerian star said, “We could put out two albums right now.”
