Recent social media videos allegedly circulated by individuals close to Mali’s power structure have targeted Mountaga Tall, president of the CNID party. The former minister and prominent figure in Mali’s democratic movement has been implicitly accused of coveting the Prime Minister position.

Tall’s Forceful Rejection of the Allegations

Breaking his silence, Tall issued a video statement clarifying his position: “I am neither seeking nor would I accept the position of Prime Minister,” he declared. “If the current authorities were to offer me this post, I would decline it.”

The veteran politician characterized these attacks as a deliberate smear campaign designed to damage his reputation. He believes the accusations aim to create public confusion and falsely associate him with Mali’s transitional government.
