Nigerian Navy’s Humanitarian Initiative Benefits Iseyin Residents
Iseyin, Oyo State – The Nigerian Navy has taken a significant step toward alleviating water scarcity in rural communities by donating seven boreholes to seven different areas in Iseyin, Oyo State. The project, inaugurated on Thursday, is part of the Navy’s Civil-Military Cooperation initiative.
Benefiting Communities
The communities that received the boreholes include:
- Ayedun
- Igboleya
- Ilado
- Ita Epo
- Molete
- Okeola
- Osoogun
Naval Leadership Speaks on the Initiative
Vice Admiral Emmanuel Ogalla, the Chief of Naval Staff, emphasized that the project aligns with the Federal Government’s Renewed Hope Agenda. Represented by Rear Admiral Monday Unuohiere, Chief of Naval Transformation, he stated:
“This initiative is part of our Special Intervention Quick Impact scheme, designed to bring immediate relief to communities in need. By providing clean water, we are not only improving health but also strengthening our bond with the people.”
