NNPC and Dangote Refinery Pledge Collaboration for Nigeria’s Energy Security

Abuja, Nigeria – The Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPCL) and Dangote Petroleum Refinery & Petrochemicals (DPRP) have committed to strengthening their partnership to enhance Nigeria’s energy security and drive national prosperity.

Commitment to Healthy Competition and Cooperation

The pledge was made during a courtesy visit by Aliko Dangote, President and CEO of Dangote Group, to the NNPC Towers on Thursday. He met with NNPC Ltd.’s Group CEO, Bashir Bayo Ojulari, and senior management to discuss mutual collaboration.

Dangote emphasized that the relationship between the two organizations is not competitive but cooperative. “There is no competition between us,” he stated. “NNPC is part of our business, and we are part of NNPC. This is an era of cooperation.”

Dangote congratulated Ojulari on his appointment and expressed confidence in NNPC’s ability to tackle Nigeria’s energy challenges. He acknowledged the company’s highly skilled workforce as a key asset in achieving shared goals.

In response, Ojulari assured Dangote of NNPC’s commitment to a mutually beneficial partnership, anchored on innovation and shared purpose. He highlighted NNPC’s readiness to sustain collaboration with Dangote Group, particularly in areas that offer commercial advantages for Nigeria.
