Egypt Plans $150M Automotive Factories in Partnership with Al-Mansour Group
Government and Industry Leaders Discuss Major Investment
Egyptian Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly met with executives from Al-Mansour Automotive Group to finalize plans for two new factories that will significantly boost Egypt’s automotive manufacturing capabilities. The high-profile meeting at the New Administrative Capital included key government officials and industry leaders.
Strategic Industrial Development
PM Madbouly emphasized the government’s commitment to supporting industrial growth, particularly in the automotive sector. “Localizing vehicle manufacturing is a national priority that aligns with our economic development goals,” Madbouly stated, highlighting plans to offer incentives and streamline investment procedures.
Two Major Projects Announced
The $150 million investment will establish:
- A vehicle manufacturing plant in New October City
- An automotive filters factory in 10th of Ramadan City
Factory Specifications and Timelines
The New October City facility will:
- Begin operations in Q3 2026
- Produce 50,000 vehicles annually initially
- Expand to 100,000 units in phase two
- Achieve over 45% local content
- Occupy 47,500 sqm within a 126,000 sqm area
The filters factory will:
- Produce 10+ million filters annually
- Feature $10 million in advanced equipment
- Support export growth
Economic Impact and Job Creation
The projects are expected to create approximately 10,000 direct and indirect jobs while developing local expertise in automotive manufacturing. Mohamed Mansour, Al-Mansour Group Chairperson, noted these investments demonstrate confidence in Egypt’s industrial potential.

Minister Kamel Al-Wazir confirmed full ministry support, while CEO Ankush Arora praised Egypt’s business-friendly policies. PM Madbouly concluded by reaffirming government backing for the projects, which position Egypt as an emerging automotive manufacturing hub.
